KERA reported today that according to The Texas Workforce Commission, the unemployment rate in Texas increased for the second month in a row. December’s rate was 8.3 percent, up from 8.2 percent in November. The strongest growth in jobs, adding 8,700 jobs in December, was in the construction industry.
