A hearing that was to include evidence that Texas killed an innocent man has been canceled. Texas Forensic Science Commission chair John Bradley canceled the meeting after he was appointed to the post this week by Gov. Rick Perry (R).

The Forensic Science Commission hired arson expert Craig Beyler to review evidence in the case against Todd Willingham. Willingham was executed for starting a fire in his house that killed his three young daughters. Beyler’s initial report raises serious questions about the case against Willingham. Willingham was executed in 1994 while Perry was in office.

Bradley tells the DMN that he canceled the hearing so he could get caught up on the case.

Perhaps the purpose of the meeting was to get him up to date on the case.
Or..as my good pals Simon and Garfunkel say….”a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest”.
